I am on day 8 of the diet I have decided to just call Fruit, Vegetables, Cheese, Meat, because that’s mostly what it eat.
An alternative name is “The ‘Fuck You, Bread’ Diet.”
I have lost three-ish pounds. That’s two or three fewer pounds than I would’ve lost so far if I were actually doing South Beach Phase I. That’s three more pounds than if I were doing nothing at all.
I haven’t cut out alcohol, which has probably slowed the weight loss down quite a bit, but hey, sometimes a girl’s got to have three screwdrivers for dinner.
I’m much less constantly hungry than I was a few weeks ago. Cutting out a lot of simple carbs and processed sugars has tamed the beast.
We got Mexican food for lunch at the office today. I ate a fuck-load of tortillas and chips and rice. Free food’s free food. No need to feel bad about it.
This is much, much easier to do now than it was at school or when I was living with my parents. Having complete control over my food is kind of invigorating.
If you put crumbled feta and balsamic vinaigrette on a pile of old VHS tapes, I would eat them.
